QR menu and table ordering for a restaurant in Nola
A restaurant, grill and cocktail bar near Naples needed a menu it could change without reprinting, and a faster way to get orders from the table to the till.

The problem
The menu was printed, so every new dish or price change meant a reprint. Many guests don't speak Italian, allergens must be listed by EU law (Regulation 1169/2011), and orders were taken by voice and carried to the till.
What we built
- QR code menu In Italian and English, with EU allergen pictograms and sold-out dishes marked. Rendered on the server ahead of time, so it opens fast even on a weak connection.
- Admin panel The manager changes dishes, prices, photos and availability on their own. Changes are live within seconds.
- Orders from the phone Waiters take orders at the table. The till gets them in real time with a sound alert, grouped by table, and closes the bill in one tap.
- Admin and waiter roles Permissions are enforced in the database with Row Level Security, not just hidden in the interface. Staff accounts are managed from the app.
Results
No menu reprints since July 2026.
The system has been in service since July 2026, with three waiters and more than 20 items on the menu. Orders go straight from the table to the till, so nothing gets lost or misread on the way.
